The nation's 23rd president, Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901) built this 1874 Italianate home during his legal career, campaigned from its front porch in 1888, returned to it in 1893, and died here eight years later. Harrison's office is reconstructed on the second floor. The third-floor ballroom holds changing exhibits relating to Harrison's life.
