Description

An original take on the history of playing cards, be they didactic, playful or satirical. Among the oldest (c 1540) are hand-painted Franco-Flemish examples depicting hunting scenes, and an illuminated Tarot card (15C) attributed to the Ferrara School (Italy). A gallery leads to the old Conti pavilion housing the town's history museum. A lively model of the château d'Issy gives a flavour of the site's beauty during the Conti period.
