Kaloko-Honokohau National Historic Park
Michelin Guide
The Michelin Guide's review
This 1,160-acre site marks an ancient Hawaiian settlement, stretching from mountain to sea. Wander past fishponds, kahua (house site platforms), ki'I pohaku (petroglyphs), holua (stone slides), and heiau (religious sites). On the recreational side, there are hiking trails and good birding, along with fishing and boating (bring your own boat).
