The attractive architecture of this pink building is an example of what Hungary calls Art Nouveau. Its construction, begun in 1893, is the work of architects Ödön Lechner and Gyula Pártos. Take the time to venture inside and climb the stairs to the Council Room. Guided tours are available to admire the historic scenes painted in a Romantic style by the artist Bertalan Székely.
