Description

The Archaeological Museum has a remarkable collection of antique art dating from the Palaeolithic to the Roman period. The works include the Gorgon pediment (6C BC) from the Temple of Artemis excavated on the Kanoni peninsula, a high-relief sculpture depicting a Dionysiac banquet, and the monumental Lion of Menecrates (7C BC).
