Useful information

Description

In 1960, Jane Goodall chose Gombe in which to settle and study chimpanzees, producing some remarkable work. Ever since, the animal reserve, which became Gombe Stream National Park in 1968, has housed a research centre dedicated to chimpanzees. Various primates and a range of birds can be seen in the park.
