Useful information

Description

Responsible for numerous historic monuments in the Northern Cape, the museum is located in the sanatorium established in 1897 by Rhodes, the diamond magnate who coordinated resistance during the Boer siege. At the top of a monumental staircase, its rooms reveal a golden age of colonial history. The Ancestors Hall takes visitors back two million years to the very beginning of the human story.
