Useful information

Description

This small local museum with its profusion of exhibits is a mine of information for lovers of curling, a game now played with metal disks, although at one time players used horse shoes. It was very popular in parts of the town and well-known figures such as Thomas Telford, Old Mortality (immortalised by Walter Scott), John Paul Jones, Jessie Marion King and the 5th Earl of Selkirk played the game regularly.
