Useful information

Description

This Japanese garden, today the property of the city of Kobe, was created from 1885. Its name means "the pleasure of being together". In an oasis of tranquillity surrounded by the buildings of the prefecture district, you will marvel at the pond adorned with stepping stones and bridges, the circular path, the tea pavilion, waterfalls, the huge trunk of the several centuries-old camphor tree and the forest of sago palm trees. In April-May, azaleas in blossom adorn the paths and in autumn the maples turn flamboyant shades of red.
