Useful information

Description

The collections of the National Museum of Modern Art chronicle the history of Japanese art from the early 20C to the present day. Be sure to see the Nihonga-style paintings, which are typically Japanese, as well as the Reclining Nude by Fujita, an emblematic artist of the Yoga school, inspired by western art. Crafts (ceramics, textiles) and photography are also well represented. To finish, you can digress to the West with Ernst, Matisse and Odilon Redon, inspired by Buddha here.
