Notre-Dame Church is one of the most important Romanesque edifices in Burgundy. Known as "Cluny's eldest daughter", it is noteworthy for its dimensions (122m long, 37m wide and 27m high), its five naves and its capacity of 5 000 people. From the 12C, it has retained the Ste-Croix Tower and its tympanum representing the Virgin Mary, the transept and the chancel. The interior features a bestiary with 8 motifs, modern stained-glass windows and the Transfiguration tympanum. You can get an overall view from the east end of the church and the Benedictines' Gardens.
