The Michelin Guide's review
The Garajonay National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is covered in a thick forest of laurels, traces of the Tertiary Era, as well as giant heathers, dotted with enormous rocks (roques). The almost permanent mist, caused by the trade winds, lends the region an air of mystery. Hikers will be able to soak up the unusual atmosphere as they make their way along the many marked footpaths.
