In the botanical haven of Bok Tower Gardens, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., splashes of colour change with the seasons to enrich a green canvas of meandering paths set amid lush undergrowth and woodland of oaks, conifers, palm trees and ferns. Encircled by a ditch is a 62m tower, the 57 bells of which ring out daily, at 1pm and 3pm. Before you embark on a tour of the grounds, pay a visit to the visitor centre for an introduction to the history of the gardens.
