Tam Tanh Cave resembles a pagoda, with its altar bearing statues of the Buddhist pantheon and its walls engraved with 16C and 18C steles listing the donations given to the sanctuary. However, in the cave's crevices it is the Holy Mothers and deified local heroines who are worshipped. The water dripping from the stalactites is said to have beneficial qualities. Steps have been cut into the limestone and in the darkness you'll be able to make out natural "windows" which let in pools of light.
