Description

Église St Georges du Bizot (16C) boasts a superb lava roof weighing an estimated 460t. Inside, admire the elegant nave, the exceptional 18C polychrome wood pulpit, with an angel and its trumpet hovering above, the lectern and an unusual statue of the Virgin Mary holding a chalice (15C, Atelier de Strasbourg, France). The frescoes, discovered in 1969 and difficult to see, depict the Visitation and Saint Christopher.
