Useful information

Description

Bournat Park, a life-size reconstruction of a Périgord village, is named after the site's former beekeeping activity (bournat means "beehive" in Périgord's patois). It recreates the everyday atmosphere of a late-19C village with a school, chapel, town hall, communal washhouse, wine storehouse etc. Costumed mannequins in each building carry on the everyday occupations of old. Real-life craftsmen revive traditional trades in the workshops. Traditional merry-go-rounds visit in the holiday season.
