Description

Inaugurated in 2018, the eco-construction visitor centre focuses on traditional building methods on Oléron Island in a 21C ecological setting. Films, graphic documents and interactive displays cover five themes: shapes and colours of houses; living conditions on the island; identity of an Oléron village; architectural adaptation; the future of comfortable, sustainable accommodation. Outside you will see a stone farmstead and its outbuildings.
