Description

On foot, on a donkey or a horse or by bicycle, embark on the GR70 hiking path and follow in the footsteps of the author of Treasure Island. It was back in 1878 that Robert Louis Stevenson set out to cross the Cévennes. He left Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille on a 12-day journey to Saint-Jean-du-Gard. The tale of this adventure, Travels with a donkey in the Cévennes (1879) became a bestseller. Nowadays it offers the modern-day traveller the opportunity to travel back in time through marvellous landscapes.
