The museum's collections come from digs carried out at Capula, Cucuruzzu, Caleca and Curacchiaghju. Note the presence of the oldest Mesolithic human remains unearthed in Corsica, the "Dame de Bonifacio"; a set of flint and obsidian tools (Neolithic period); ceramics, metal accessories and jewellery (Bronze Age and Iron Age); and coins and unusual crockery (Middle Ages). The museum also houses an Ivory Christ (c 1516) by one of Donatello's pupils.
