Useful information

Description

The Museum of Fine Arts, inaugurated to coincide with the 1994 Olympics, presents, in addition to exhibitions of contemporary art, a remarkable overview of Norwegian painting, from Romanticism up to the early 20C, including Johan Christian Dahl, Hans Frederik Gude, Frits Thaulow and Christian Krohg. Excellent pieces by Jacob Weidemann herald the contemporary art section, which is shown on the ground floor: note the painters Reidun Tordhol, Hilde Vemren and Odd Nestrum.
