Useful information

Description

The oldest building in Limerick, the Anglican Cathedral was built in 1168; the beautiful Norman doorway, nave and part of the transepts all date from this period, while the rest of the building dates from the 15C. In the choir, the magnificent black oak stalls (15C) have been finely carved with mythical animals and grotesque figures which symbolise the struggle between good and evil.
