Description

Recounting the history of the Aeolian Islands using artefacts discovered during excavations started in 1949, the museum has a section on prehistoric Lipari, an interesting reconstruction of Bronze Age necropolises, a collection of fine red figural kraters (terracotta statuettes) and amazing amphorae (recovered from the seabed). Don't miss the extraordinary collection of theatre masks to conclude a remarkable visit.
