Description

This elegant formal garden crowns the Avenida da Liberdade. From the top, there is a magnificent prospect over the lower town and the Tagus, framed by the hills of São Jorge Castle and the Bairro Alto. It is home to a cold greenhouse (Estufa Fria) covered with wooden slats, a hot greenhouse with semi-tropical plants and a final greenhouse containing giant cacti.
