Useful information

Description

The Museu Lisboa is housed in the Palácio Pimenta Palace, which was built in the 18C in the reign of João V. Different stages of Lisbon's history are traced through Roman, Visigothic, Arab and medieval remains. The emblem of the city, a caravel transporting the body of St Vincent and guided by ravens, can be seen on many of the coats of arms. The palace kitchens are decorated with azulejos with rural designs.
