Useful information

Description

The gardens were named after the doctor in the 16C who studied and classified Asian plants. The gardens are in front of the Olivais quay, along the Tagus. The vegetation is taken from the regions explored by the Portuguese during the era of the Great Discoveries. Interesting for budding botanists.
