Description

The home of the Marquis of Anglesey, Plas Newydd is a late-18C manor house in a magnificent setting surrounded by 68ha of parkland and a garden overlooking the Menai Straits. In 1936, Rex Whistler (1905-1944) decorated the dining room with a remarkable trompe-l'oeil, a fantasy landscape featuring the members of the Paget family, whose often eccentric movements are illustrated on it.
