Description

Seat of the Greater London Council until its abolition in 1986 and of the Inner London Education Authority, the Classical style County Hall was built by Ralph Knott (1912-1922) on the banks of the Thames near to the Coade stone factory (a decorative artificial stone). Underneath it there is an aquarium on two levels beneath the waters of the Thames.
