Useful information

Description

This Southwark square dating back to the 19 has some typical standard lamps and in the centre of the garden there is a statue representing King Alfred (871-899). It was transferred there in 1822 from Westminster Hall where it had occupied a recess for 450 years which makes it the oldest statue in London.
