Description

This town house built for the third Earl of Burlington in 1715 has been restored several times, notably between 1867 and 1873 in neo-Renaissance style. The Senate House of the University of London for many years, Burlington House nowadays houses the Royal Academy, the Geological Society and the Society of Antiquaries. Designed by Norman Foster, the Sackler Galleries were opened by the Queen in 1991.
