Useful information

Description

Dating back to the Stuart period and transformed in 1910, this wide promenade flanked by plane trees forms a processional avenue in front of Buckingham Palace. It was used at the time of Charles II to play "Pall Mall". Today the Mall is the triumphal thoroughfare which serves as the setting for great traditional parades such as the Coronation, the Queen's birthday (Trooping the Colour) or the State Opening of Parliament.
