Useful information

Description

This large square was developed in 1810 to provide playing fields for Westminster School. On the northeast side, the Royal Horticultural Society building (1804), extended by the New Horticultural Hall (1923-1928), houses monthly flower shows. Its library, the Lindley Library, founded in 1886, contains 50 000 volumes, some of which date from 1514, and some very rare botanical drawings.
