Richmond Bridge

This classic stone bridge with five arches and parapet was designed in 1774 by James Paine to replace the old ferry. It was widened in 1937. A staircase allows you to descend to the towpath that is the setting for attractive walk along the river downstream of the Terrace Gardens.
