Description
Of the Old Spitalfields Market, only the eastern part remains today. Under its Victorian vault (1892) you will find the stalls of second-hand book and record dealers, fashion designers, restaurants and exotic wares. There is always something going on, in a friendly and lively atmosphere. Meanwhile, the western part, on the City side, has been given over to a project by Norman Foster combining office buildings and a shopping mall devoted to chain stores and restaurants.
