Description
Focal point of one of the original ranches in Southern California, the two-story Monterey-style 1844 adobe building has been restored and furnished to reflect domestic lifestyles from the 1870s, when the region was beginning its rapid evolution from agriculture to urban society. Three acres of gardens surround the house, once headquarters for a 27,000-acre cattle ranch.
