Description

A courtyard planted with palm trees and adorned with Egyptian-style frescoes and columns graces the front of the Egyptian Theater, which opened to tremendous fanfare in 1922 with the movie premiere of Robin Hood starring Douglas Fairbanks. The theatre reopened in 1998 as the American Cinemathèque. A 1hr film pays tribute to the stars and history of Hollywood.
