Useful information

Description

This museum was founded in 2002 by Angela Rosengart, daughter of art dealer Siegfried Rosengart. Together, they donated several works by Picasso, to whom they were close, to the city of Lucerne. Like her father, Angela Rosengart demonstrated her attachment to the city by making public one of Europe's finest private collections: over 300 19-20C modern artworks, with Picasso (32 paintings and some drawings, mainly later works) and Klee (125 works) featuring prominently.
