Established in the Villeroy mansion (1730), this museum aims to be a repository of arts textiles, and its prestigious collections are presented along two main themes: West and East. Among the highlights are the Meuble Gaudin, a tapestry created for Josephine's bedchamber at Fontainebleau, sumptuous "Indian" shawls, velvet portraits, liturgical ornaments, remarkable Eastern rugs, the exceptional doublet of Charles of Blois (14C), Chinese imperial robes made out of K'o-sseu etc.
