Description
Pedestrianised from Place des Cordeliers to Bellecour, this lively street is lined by department stores, cinemas and brasseries, as well as buildings that are typical of 19C Lyonnais architecture with their façades pierced with high windows, the lintels of which are decorated with sheet metal lambrequins. The façade of N°85, framed by giant caryatids, and the Art deco edifice at N°79, crowned by a giant Pathé cockerel, are both worth looking out for.
