Useful information

Description

La Part-Dieu district was born out of an ambitious project to unite administrative, banking and trading services and cultural venues. Built from 1970 to 1977 and extended in the 1980s with the high-speed train station, the second largest business district of France after La Défense, is in the throes of redevelopment. The aim is to canalise road traffic, adding green spaces and bicycle paths and to enhance the skyline of Lyon with skyscrapers for businesses and housing.
