Yorkshire Dales National Park
The Green Guide

Useful information

Description

To the northwest of Leeds is a region of limestone landscapes in which rocky outcrops alternate with caves and underground rivers. In the hollow of the valleys of Malhamdale, Wensleydale and Wharfedale, a handful of bustling market towns and villages break the silence of a nature reigning supreme. The Yorkshire Dales National Park (2 180km²) is crossed by the Pennine Way, which is a classic hiking route. Those who love walking, take note!
