Built between 1858 and 1863 based on the model of English docks, this immense row of warehouses almost 400m long harks back to Marseille's influence when it was at its the economic zenith. Nowadays, the modern lines, wood, terraces, inner pools and light well of the docks, rehabilitated by architect Éric Castaldi, are a pleasant place for wandering, all the more so that shops have now also set up here.
