Useful information

Description

The most famous cotton mill in England, Cromford Mill was built in 1771 by Richard Arkwright. Copied far and wide, in Germany and the USA, it is a blueprint for modern factories, which has earned it a place on UNESCO's World Heritage list, alongside its Derwent Valley counterparts.
