Useful information

Description

Culzean (pronounced Cullane) in its dramatic clifftop setting was once again the work of the talented Robert Adam (1728-1792), commissioned by the Kennedy family to transform the old castle. Although he was a classicist, Adam added arrow slits and battlements to give his work a medieval touch. The seaward façade has a large drum tower.
