Useful information

Description

This was once the site of the Arab fortress that became a Christian stronghold in 1264; dwellings were built inside in the Middle Ages and inhabited until the 16C, before being abandoned and used as a quarry. At its peak, the area was surrounded by a triple wall, of which some interesting ruins remain. The entrance to the wall is protected by the Doña Blanca watchtower.
