Description

The second floor of the History Miami museum showcases the permanent exhibit "Tropical Dreams: A People's History of South Florida", which chronicles southern Florida's colorful past. It starts with Florida's earliest settlers 10,000 years ago, moves on to the arrival of the Spanish colonists in the 16C, the war with the Seminole Indians and the eventual emergence of tourism and Art Deco in the 20C. The first floor hosts temporary exhibitions which highlight local artists.
