Useful information

Description

Created in 1971 to honour those members of Brigade 2506 who lost their lives in the aborted invasion of Cuba in April 1961, the Cuban Memorial Plaza now serves as a rallying point for political demonstrations. Note the hexagonal-shaped marble monument, with an eternal flame at the top.
