The location is a stunningly beauty area, a mountain range with granite pitons of a lovely pinkish hue. There are paths, thanks to which you can go on superb mountain hikes. But it is above all the Santa Maria de Montserrat Monastery, Catalonia's most important religious centre devoted to Mary, that draws the crowds.
