Useful information

Description

This elegant street was named for Sir Robert Peel (1788-1850), the British prime minister who founded the Conservative Party and facilitated England's transition to the industrial era by promoting various economic and financial legislation. Peel also created the London police force, nicknamed "Bobbies" in his honour. To the north, Rue Peel is lined with lovely mansions, many belonging to McGill University.
