This causeway (or pedraplén) connects the main island of the Jardines del Rey archipelago with Cayo Coco coast, running for over 20km over the clear turquoise waters of the Bahía de Los Perros (Bay of Dogs). Perched upon by hordes of pink flamingos, it is an unforgettable sight at any time of day, especially at dusk when the setting sun offers a typical picture-postcard image. Caution is required; the roadway is unlit and has no barriers.
