This park, founded in 1820 at the foot of the Kremlin walls, is very popular with Muscovites, attracted by its refreshing waterfalls and fountains and the sight of the changing of the guard every hour from 8am to 8pm. In addition to the flame of the Unknown Soldier (1967), note the ten steles symbolising the cities destroyed during World War II. Don't miss the animal sculptures by Zurab Tsereteli, which pay tribute to the dreamlike world of Pushkin.
